

Too many times the sharks passed by me without getting close enough for a good shot. With a wide angle lens on the camera, unless the sharks swam by within a few feet, they would appear relatively distant. When at last one shark veered close enough, I felt a pulse of excitement and fear. I took the shot when the animal was about 2 feet away. Fortunately, he veered away as quickly as he had approached.
