
This is a close-up picture of the fingers of an anemone, a simple creature with little more to its body than a foot, fingers, a mouth, and a stomach. As with single cell animals, they reproduce by splitting.
The brilliant "day-glow" pink tips of this specimen attracted my attention. I deliberately underexposed this shot to produce the intense color saturation of pink, and to render a golden cast to its creme-colored fingers.
