The animal pictured here is called a nudibranch, and this is one of the more rare nudibranchs found (or not found, as is more often the case!) in the Red Sea. This is an iridescent creature, only about an inch long, which seemed to me almost to float above the sea floor, like the magic carpet in "Arabian Nights".
